1. Overview
HorizonDojo respects the intellectual property rights of others. Pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our service.
If you believe that material available on HorizonDojo infringes a copyright you own or control, you may submit a takedown notice as described below. Please note that we are a community fan site, and most content posted here consists of in-game share codes, player screenshots, and community-created art. False or bad-faith takedown notices may expose you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
2. Submitting a takedown notice
Send your DMCA notice to our designated agent at dmca@horizondojo.gg. Your notice must include all of the following elements to be valid:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the material on HorizonDojo that you claim is infringing, with sufficient detail for us to locate it (e.g. the full URL of the asset page).
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address so we can contact you about your claim.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on their behalf.
Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content promptly and notify the user who posted it.
3. Counter-notification procedure
If you believe content you posted was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification by emailing dmca@horizondojo.gg with the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed and the location where it appeared before it was removed.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district in which your address is located (or if outside the US, any United States Federal District Court), and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant.
If we receive a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the content after 10–14 business days unless the complainant informs us they have filed a court action.
4. Repeat infringer policy
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, we maintain a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are deemed repeat infringers. We also reserve the right to limit access or terminate accounts of users who infringe the intellectual property rights of others, regardless of whether there is repeat infringement.
5. Note on game assets
Content from Forza Horizon (including game maps, car models, branded liveries, and other in-game assets) is the property of Microsoft Corporation, Turn 10 Studios, and Playground Games. HorizonDojo does not host raw game data or executable game content. Users who post content that reproduces Microsoft-owned assets without authorisation may have that content removed at our discretion or upon request from the rights holder.
